Laphing

Laphing is a spicy, cold noodle dish that originated in Tibet and is popular in Nepal, Bhutan and parts of Northern India:

Ingredients

    • Made from mung bean, potato, or wheat flour, laphing has a jelly-like texture. 

       
    • Preparation

      The noodles are marinated in a spicy mixture, sliced into medium pieces, and served with a spicy sauce. 

       
    • Variations

      Laphing can be made in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian varieties, and can be served as a dry dish or in soup. 

       
  • Accompaniments
    Laphing is often eaten with red pepper chili, coriander, and green onion sauce, or a soy sauce gravy.
